Education SOCM

The SOCM group contributes to the educational programme in the Bachelor, Master and PhD. The group provides lectures on both the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, numerical engineering techniques and special application fields.

PhD

In the PhD programme, the SOCM group educates and supervices students as well as provides courses as part of the graduate school on engineering mechanics.
The PhD program provides the oppertunity to do research within areas of SOCM's expertice:

• Optimization techniques;
• Fundamentals in mechanics;
• Microsystem design;
• Biomechanics.

Master

In the master programme, the SOCM group provides courses in line with their research.
The SOCM group is directly related to the master variants:

• Precision and Microsystem Engineering (PME)
  in particular the Engineering Mechanics specialisation;
• Solid and Fluid Mechanics (SFM)
  in particular the Structural Optimization and Computational Mechanics specialisation.

Bachelor

In the bachelor programmes of both Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design, the SOCM group provides lectures on the fundamentals of mechanics.
